Gharial Spatial Database

Fullstack Development

The Madras Crocodile Bank trust has been engaged with gharial conservation in India for a couple of decades. Gharials are croc-like creatures with a lump at the end of their snouts. These wonderfully fascinating creatures are critically endangered and are only found on the Indian Subcontinent.

The site's purpose is to track gharial sightings across the area. It comes with a custom admin interface where one can approve and verify sightings, modify map data, handle users and track new types of information that one might want to track.

The logo was developed from an earlier poster that was made for the same programme.
